For as long as women have been angry, men have sought to dismiss them as hormonal, hysterical, irrational, crazy. But fierce females are not a recent phenomenon. Long before #MeToo and the Women’s March, the full force of women’s fury has been weaponized to transform politics around the world.
New York Times best-seller Rebecca Traister explores how the anger of women – from the suffragettes to Pantsuit Nation – has been a catalyst that has changed the course of history.
This is a free event, however, registrations are essential.
Presented by UNSW Arts & Social Sciences, a partner of the 2019 Sydney Writers’ Festival.
