A joint initiative of the Scientia Education Academy and the Grand Challenge on Rapid Urbanisation, brought to fruition by UNSW Growers, the Teaching and Research Garden is a resource for staff and students. Garden beds will be available for use in courses and research.

Program

  • - 11am-2pm: Help with planting
  • - 12:15 pm: Snack provided by the OzHarvest food truck 
  • - 1.15 pm: Formal launch by Professor Merlin Crossley, DVC Academic

 

UNSW Urban Growers is a cross-faculty working group of staff and students dedicated to changing this traditional approach to education by creating food growing space on UNSW campuses. The group includes staff from Law, Built Environment, Public Health and Community Medicine, Engineering, BEES, Environment and Society/ FASS, Arc, Art and Design, UNSW Well Being and Estate Management.
